Bishop RoyC. Dawkins
Bio
Roy C. Dawkins was raised and educated in Kansas City, Kansas.
He has been married to Charlene for 41 years. They are the proud
parents of two sons, Anson and Eric, who are National Gospel-Recording
Artists, “Dawkins and Dawkins,” and one daughter,
Angela Bryant. Pastor and Sister Dawkins are also grandparents
of four adorable girls, Kiristen, Ranan, Jaya, and Kennedy and
a handsome grandson, Jude.
After
serving as pastor of Mt. Zion Temple in Columbia, Tennessee for
10 years, God called Pastor Roy C. Dawkins to Steubenville, Ohio
in 1985. The Lord has blessed his ministry for 24 years at Zion
Temple. In 1989 he was elevated to the office of “District
Elder.”
Pastor
Dawkins received his Bachelor of Theology and Religious Education
degrees in 1981 in Nashville, Tennessee, and his Masters Degrees
in Theology and Religious Education in 1997. In August of 2005
he received his Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry; in October
of 2005 he received the Doctor of Divinity from Aenon Bible College,
Indianapolis, IN.
Pastor
Dawkins was consecrated as Suffragan Bishop in the Ohio
District Council on July 4, 2002. As Suffragan Bishop, he faithfully
serves the 14 churches in the Southeast Region of the Ohio District
Council of Pentecostal Churches, Inc. He is the Chairman of the
ODC, a member of the Ohio District Council Executive Board of
Directors, Liaison for the Ministers’ Wives and Widows Alliance
of the Ohio District Council, serves on the Aenon Bible College
Board, and the Budget and Finance Committee of the Pentecostal
Assemblies of the World.
He
is anointed and appointed for such a time as this; a true “Man
of God.”
